As we worked with this wool blend fabric more and more, we couldn't help but experiment with it.

We had some fun with this one - it's part elegant trouser, part lounge pant complete with military-inspired patch pockets and a pintuck sewn down the front. With a functional zipper fly, and a partially elasticized waistband, the Montcalm is business up front, party in the back. Sometimes, experiments pay off.

Milled by American Woolen in Stafford Springs, CT and sewn by New England Shirt Co. in Fall River, MA. Hundreds of years of history and textile expertise go into this garment.

After the jacket, how could you resist the pants?

After I bought the jacket, I kept coming back and looking at the pants and I kept telling myself I really have no idea what I’m supposed to do with these, but I seem to want them. So after talking with the designer and him giving me some insights as to how they really fit and how to dress them, I decided to buy them. These pants are really cool for just wearing as leisure wear for for the winter or just around the house. The surprise was to see that the legs are lined all the way down to the knees to make the wool very comfortable against the skin. As I stated in the jacket review, this wool has a unique texture and warmth to it that just makes it look so inviting and comfortable. Now I just need some colder weather to come along so I can find more excuses to wear these. One more thing, as for the fit, they have a little extra room in the top lock to give them a casual look and they have a nice taper down to the ankle so they fit nicely with casual or dress shoes.
